Rogers is a city located in northwestern Arkansas. The city was named in honor of Captain Charles Warrington Rogers who was vice president and general manager of the St. Louis-San Francisco Railroad, also known as the Frisco Railroad. Rogers man held on $250,000 cash bond

Circuit Judge Brad Karren ordered a $250,000 cash bond be set for a Rogers man who fled on the day he was expected to plead guilty in an armed robbery case. Rocky Ali Beamon, 20, appeared in court Wednesday morning for his bond hearing after his arrest in connection with failure to appear.

Rogers woman pleads guilty to manslaughter

A Rogers woman pleaded guilty today to a manslaughter charge related to a Springdale home invasion that ended with a man being killed by the resident. Kaili Brooke Cogdill, 21, also pleaded guilty to accomplice to residential burglary, two counts of forgery, failure to appear and a probation revocation, according to Sara Swearengin, deputy prosecutor.

Rogers police investigating shooting

Police officers went to 1014 W. Oak St. at 4:02 a.m. today in response to an aggravated burglary in which two subjects had the resident at gunpoint, according to a press release from the Rogers Police Department.

A former day care worker pleaded not guilty today to sexually assaulting two children at Mary's Little Lamb Preschool in Bentonville. Nathan Jack Clemons, 24, of Rogers has been arrested three times and already pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting another student.

Zero food waste is goal of initiative

Three groups - 8th Street Market, Brightwater and Food Loops - are partnering to decrease the amount of food and product waste produced at the Market in an effort to divert waste from landfills and provide natural fertilizer.
