Rogers is a city located in northwestern Arkansas. The city was named in honor of Captain Charles Warrington Rogers who was vice president and general manager of the St. Louis-San Francisco Railroad, also known as the Frisco Railroad. '99 crossbow killer fought Arkansas deputy for gun, filings say

A Rogers man who was convicted as a teenager of killing his father with a crossbow has been arrested after fighting with a sheriff's deputy for the deputy's gun, authorities say. The Benton County sheriff's office deputy used his stun gun on Justin Trammell, 34, several times but was able to restrain Trammell only with the assistance of two other people, according to court documents filed Wednesday morning.

Justin Wade Trammell, 34, was arrested in connection with aggravated assault, two counts of first-degree battery, three counts of second-degree battery and two counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor - all felonies.
