A freeway pedestrian who was fatally struck in an apparent hit-and-run crash earlier this month was identified Friday as a 57-year-old San Diego resident. Shawn Gilbert Priddy was walking on westbound state Route 54 near Interstate 805 in National City about 10:20 p.m. on Dec. 2 when he was struck by an SUV, according to officials from the California Highway Patrol and San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
