Work by the city Water Utilities Department will require lane closures on North Old Missouri Road between Mountain Road and Randall Wobbe Lane, according to a news release from the city. Both north and southbound traffic will be restricted to one lane each way during daylight hours beginning today, the release says.

Parties in meth ring sent to prison

Seventeen people constituting a methamphetamine ring broken up last year in the Harrison area have been sentenced to federal prison over the past two weeks. Western Arkansas Chief U.S. District Judge P.K. Holmes III sentenced the leader of the ring, Juan Delacruz Albarran, 36, of Springdale, to 27 years in prison Thursday.
