PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- Police say it was tips from the public that led to the identification and eventual arrest of a man suspected of driving off after hitting a teenager last month in Pawtucket . Arthur Genest, 58, of Benedict Street, turned himself in Monday morning in connection with the March 30 incident, according to police.

North Smithfield Police Officer suffers broken wrist while apprehending fleeing suspect

North Smithfield Police said they received calls from residents on Pound Hill Road around 8:45 p.m. Saturday stating that there was a suspicious vehicle operating up and down the roadway and entering in and out of driveways.
