An 84-year-old woman was choked to death Tuesday in a senior living center in Metairie, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says. "Officers were called to 4937 York St. 215 in Metairie around 7:55 in the evening, for what first appeared to be death by natural causes," said sheriff's office spokesman Glen Boyd.
