More than four years after the breakup of Papa Grows Funk, a documentary about the New Orleans band led by former Baton Rougean John Gros, is screening at the Southern Screen Film Festival in Lafayette. Josh Freund and Sam Radutzky wrote, directed, produced, filmed and edited their five-year labor of love, "Do U Want It?" Skeletal remains found on Lajaunie Road in Lafayette identified

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office says that they have been able to confirm the identity of skeletal remains found in June of this year in Lafayette. According to the Sheriff's Office, the remains, which were located on Lajuanie Road in June have been identified as those belonging to 20-year-old Vickie Litriece Patterson, a native of Illinois.
